An Important Notice

Friends,

Earlier this week, my neighborhood went through a major disaster. An EF3 tornado swept through and destroyed the town around me. There are many videos and images of this as it’s been covered across news stations. Here is one such video.

I am in the thick of this. A lot of the homes around me were completely demolished. Power lines are down everywhere. There are hardly any trees left—they were all sheared off.

Thankfully, my family and I are unharmed and our own home retained four walls and most of a roof, so we fared relatively well.

Today is the first day I was able to leave the area since the roads were blocked with debris. (AC and wifi make one feel human again.) I wanted to reach out to you all and let you know I’ll be taking an extended break from this newsletter so I can spend time with my community as we put our lives back together. I will return, so please stay tuned.
